A musical essence of the Jersey Shore. In the blink of an eye, high tides, AI, and a world changing every 15 minutes, I got this chance to interview Norman. His life, journey, music, and his memoir, ‘You Don’t Know Me.’ Fascinating is a great word, with Norman staring at me through Zoom this afternoon. A powerful nor'easter raged outside, and Stormin’ Norman shared so much. This is just part of Norman. Influential musician. Band leader. Arranger. Producer. Promoter. Owner of a record label. Yes, I’ve known him a long time. His brilliance, experience, eloquence, passion, and humanity radiate. Indeed, a humanitarian. We’re alike. In our journeys, no politics, no religion. Lots of love emanates. To entice you all to watch, some words and thoughts from Norman. Playing piano at three. Produced Vito and the Salutations concerts. Clarence Clemons. Mississippi. Racing horses. Fighting discrimination. How to treat an audience. Look at their forehead. Nashville honesty. Norman found harmony. Madison Square Garden performing. New Jersey never lets go of him. No drink or smoke contributes to his amazing mind and energy. I helped others. Norman is honored on the plaque near the boardwalk, Sounds of Asbury Park. (SOAP) Indeed, a living legend. So much more to Norman. So, he’ll come back and make my day again. Calvin 🎙️ 860+ YouTube videos; starting my 7th year, now over 500 interviews on 6 continents.
