Dr. Harris is a native of Irondale, Alabama, and earned his medical degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He went on to complete five years of surgical training at the Mayo Clinic in Florida, where he trained under some of the nation’s leading experts in a variety of surgical specialties. During his residency, Dr. Harris developed a strong focus on antireflux and hiatal hernia surgery and was among the early adopters of the LINX device for the treatment of GERD.
